Doom from Below is a Shadowdark adventure inspired by three NES titles. You can find them at the end of the booklet, but I challenge you to guess as you read along.

Background

Two weeks ago, a group of six daring tomb raiders arrived at Gadha Village, chasing rumors of treasure hidden within a deserted mountain temple dedicated to a goddess of destruction. A few days later, they returned, their eyes glowed red with a strange madness. By the next morning, all the men and boys of the village had vanished.

Now, strange tremors shake the earth each night, and unearthly howls echo down the mountain path. The women of Gadha Village gather in fearful prayer, pleading for the safe return of their loved ones.
